It is worth noting that the travel requirements listed on the University website apply not only to (non-UKRI) doctoral students applying for the PGR Travel Award for conference participation, but to all students travelling on University business. As international travel has opened up recently and conferences are being held in person again after a lull of several years, many students are likely to be looking at travelling internationally to conferences, site visits, summer schools, fieldwork, internships, etc.



Please can you ensure that any student looking to travel internationally on University business is aware of the University guidance on travelling overseas<https://www.strath.ac.uk/safetyhealthwellbeing/safereturntocampus/covid-19guidance/>, and that their supervisors are similarly aware, as approval for travel will need to be sought form the Head of Department/School, and a detailed risk assessment will need to be undertaken.
