The challenge, open to all staff and students, will run from 29 April to 23 June and is a great way to be more active.
Last year, 53 Strathclyde teams took part in the Spring Challenge and clocked up over 158 million steps.

Disability is a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010, but what do we mean by the term 'disability', who comes under it, how can we best support disabled students and staff, and how can we recognise and address the barriers faced in work and study environments?

This workshop will explore where people get their messages from and how that influences their behaviour. The workshop aims to help people understand, talk about and breakdown gender stereotypes.
The workshop will also discuss how gender stereotypes within culture contribute to Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

This workshop gives people a safe space to discuss consent in a peer setting around identifying when consent can and cannot be given.
The workshop will also explore the impact on survivors who have had their right to consent taken away.

This two hour interactive session is an introduction to the topic of Anti-Racism. Participants will develop confidence with terminology around race; explore structural racism through the lens of unequal structures in Scotland and in Higher Education; reflect on privilege and power in daily life, and discover practical steps towards anti-racism.
This course was developed by the Equality & Diversity Office and draws upon relevant evidence, sector-wide research, and work undertaken by the Race Equality Working Group.
