Every year, colleagues are asked to nominate individual members of staff or teams who consistently demonstrate the University’s Values in their work, contributions and relationships.
Nominations received are considered by a cross-University panel, with the best examples being celebrated at a Strathclyde Medals Ceremony where individuals and teams receive a Values Medal or a Values Team Trophy.

Update on network issues

If you are still having difficulty with your laptop connecting, either at home or on campus, please go to either the Curran Helpdesk (in the Library level 3) or the McCance Professional Services Helpdesk (Level 1, ground) any time between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday where a fix will be applied.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused and would like to thank our colleagues in the Helpdesk and the End User Computing teams who have been dealing with a large number of enquiries and working hard to apply the fix which has already enabled many users to get successfully reconnected to the network.

Alongside light-hearted moments, Dame Anne will discuss the ethical and societal considerations of technological advances, in particular AI. There will be opportunities for audience questions and networking following the lecture.

As he took his place as a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYP) earlier this year, Michael Archibald, who is a first-year psychology student at Strathclyde, felt a sense of pride at how far he had come.
The teenager entered kinship care at the age of 10 and moved through the care system across East Renfrewshire, before becoming estranged at 17 and moving into supported accommodation.

Congratulations to our colleagues at Strath Union, which has won the Liberation and Equality Award for its Fight for the Night campaign and the Solidarity Award for the Trans and Non-Binary Swim sessions, at a ceremony in Stirling last month.
Strath Union President Eva Curran said: "Two awards! I'm so proud of our staff and students for their dedication and commitment to these campaigns.
"Their work has been so inspiring, making a massive positive impact not just on Strathclyde, but the wider Glasgow community. I'm so glad that their efforts have been recognised by the student movement."

During the session participants will use a real work-based example to work through the seven step process and identify key issues. By the end of this session, participants will have the knowledge and skills to be able to implement this approach in their own working environment.
